Get in Your Stance
The foundation of everything
Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart.
If you're right-handed (orthodox): left foot forward, right foot back.
If you're left-handed (southpaw): right foot forward, left foot back.
Keep your weight balanced 50/50 on both feet.
Stay on the balls of your feet - heels slightly raised.
Bring your hands up to chin level, elbows tucked to your body.
Chin down, eyes up. This is your fighting stance.
Tips
Your feet should be at about 45 degrees, not straight
Think of your stance as a platform - stable but mobile
